Northern Vietnam offers Sa Pa near the Chinese border with the Hmong people ready to offer your their hospitality. Hanoi’s old city and the delights of Ha-Long Bay says even more about this part of the country
Hanoi tends to look down it’s nose at the upstart Ho Chi Minh City. It’s wide boulevards and French quarter point to something rather grand and the old city should become a world heritage site any day now
Even away from the agricultural fields, the traditional wide hats are prevalent here among the ladies selling on the streets
Hanoi is moving forward at breakneck speed though, but as in other parts of Indochina there is definitely a graceful and dignified old worldly charm which envelopes all visitors
