Outside of carnival the hotel prices retain some semblance of normality with the city becoming yours to roost in!
The southern neighbourhoods of Ipanema, Copacabana and Leblon are the most popular and have the best facilities for visitors to enjoy. There are bars, juice bars, clubs, restaurants and more. Hotels line the Avenida Atlantica on Copacabana’s seafront, this is the case with the other two districts, there are also establishments that lie a few blocks from there too which are worth investigating as well as apartment lets and hostels if you so desire. We at Globe at One have done our research – so we do know!
Catete and Flamengo are also area worth considering where hotels are being renovated and will be available later on this year. For the more bohemian amongst you Santa Teresa and Lapa are your choice, Sta Teresa in particular heralds some of the best cityscape views in the world from its lofty position in the centre-north of the city. Lapa’s hotels are excellent; we have sourced hotels in all areas, so check us out… check out Rio!
