• Days 1-3: Fly directly in to Siem Reap, embark on a profoundly enriching cultural visit to the ruins of Angkor spread out over many acres, never a clichéd undertaking in my view.
• Days 4-5: Arrive in Phnom Penh the hectic yet charismatic capital of the country with excursions to the Royal Palace, Wat Phnom and the Phnom Da temple outside the city spending the night in Phnom Penh.
• Day 6: Transfer to Kep and stay at the La Veranda overlooking the Gulf of Thailand, sample the legendary seafood dishes from here.
• Days 7-9: Transfer to Sihanoukville, the coastal outlet of Cambodia and relax while taking in the Gulf of Thailand each evening.
• Day 10: Transfer back to Phnom Penh for an international flight via Bangkok back to the UK.
