Northern Thailand, Thailand Thailand

Do you know your Chiang Mai’s from your Chiang Rai’s, this rising landscape punctuated by cultural diversity and a different themed Thailand awaits

Thailand is the hub of arrival for travelers to South East Asia and Bangkok specifically, the city has a slightly maligned reputation for excesses of all kinds, but if you have a couple of days to spare it is in fact an intriguing place to discover.

The Grand Palace is must see item on any visit here with Wat Phra Laeo also part of that royal complex. Bangkok’s floating markets are a particular highlight with yours truly, just the most colourful spectacle in a concrete and steel city

Chiang Mai in northern Thailand still retains a small town feel despite it being Thailand’s 2nd city, trekking into the nearby hills is the thing here, it is a genuinely nice place and a reminder that despite semi-mass tourism, Thailand is at heart a relaxing country to visit
