Mendoza and Santiago del Estero provinces produce much of the wine in Argentina, here you will be staying at secluded haciendas where as well as tasting, fine barbecued meats are on hand to compliment the exquisite wines on offer.
Red wines are the speciality of Mendoza province and their Malbecs and Cabernet Sauvignons are simply some of the best in the world. You’ll visit Appellation d’origine vineyards and get to catch the locals around this impressive part of the world with the refreshing Andes as a backdrop.
he Fiesta de la Vendimia is an alternative harvest festival, this time locals sensibly giving all their possible thanks to nature’s allowance of vines to bear fruit. This is in March and the festival queen is crowned to top off a great cultural compliment to the viticulture of the region.

Day 1: Club Tapiz
Arrival and transfer to the hotel in Agrelo which is just to the south of Luján de Cuyo and a couple of miles across the Mendoza river in order to shake out the creases from a log trip from Europe, recuperate, enjoy a meal and possibly some wine too! Overnight at Club Tapiz
Day 2: Club Tapiz
½ day Wine tour to Luján de Cuyo with lunch visiting 3 wineries. The first will be the winery in which you are ensconced Tapiz so you need only sleep well and walfk to your first wine assessment! The second tasting will be held at the Achaval Ferrer winery www.achaval-ferrer.com, known for some of the most prestigious wines in Argentina and the third winery to visit will be the Ruca Malen winery www.bodegarucamalen.com.ar where you’ll taste their wines in a lovely room ending with a lunch facing the Los Andes mountain range. Day 3: Club Tapiz
A full days Wine tour to the valle de Uco. You leave the hotel in the morning and head towards the Valle de Uco region. Once there you’ll visit and wine taste at Salentein winery www.salentein.com, where besides tasting, you’ll visit Killka: a very specialist art gallery where exhibitions are held of local artists, also present are works by national and international artists. Immediately afterwards, you head to the Andeluna winery www.andeluna.com, this is a vineyard set hard up against the magnificence of the Andes where you’ll see the source of irrigation for their rich Merlots and refreshing Chardonnays. At lunch time we‘ll visit Altus winery, where we’ll have the pleasure of enjoying a most delightful meal in an old house specially designed to receive guests. Overnight at Club Tapiz
